100 Casey Key Road, Nokomis, FL
I love Nokomis Beach; I would have to say it is one of my favorite beaches in Florida. It has a nice combo of beautiful sand and shells, blue/green water, and a popular sea turtle nesting spot! And the best feature is it rarely crowded!
There are several parking locations to access Nokomis Beach along South Casey Key Road, we chose to drive south for a block instead of parking at the main parking lot and were greeted by this view as we parked the van.
The walk to the beach was mere seconds.
And we were greeted with this view
Do you see the sea turtle nest? There were several nests along the beach. I’d love to go back when a nest is ready to hatch!
There were lots of vines that with pretty flowers.
Along the shore there are many shells to choose from. The water is clear, so you could also look for more shells by snorkeling.
We had a fantastic day, and the sunset was beautiful!
I really enjoyed our day exploring Nokomis Beach, and I’m sure we’ll be back again!
