I recently decided to visit Turtle Beach in Sarasota, FL for a relaxing sunset. I had hoped there would be some turtle nests since it IS called Turtle Beach and it was nesting season. Well, it did NOT have nests that evening, but the sunset was relaxing AND beautiful!
The sand was a pretty gray color, and very soft. It was a great consistency for a sandcastle. I’m guessing the sand would be hot on a sunny summer day.
The water was a pretty blue/green, and very clear.
As you can see in the above photo, there is a slope to the water. Parking is steps away from the top of the slope. I walked from the van to the water in roughly 30 seconds.
There are no lifeguards at this location.
The sunset was a nice way to end the day; I think I should go to the beach every evening to watch the sunset! Do you agree?
